According to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, over 47,000 children are reported abused, neglected and abandoned each year. Of those, 7,000 are subsequently removed from their homes due to imminent danger. We serve these families through both residential (24/7, therapeutic treatment) and community services. We are reaching out to children through our community programs offering substance abuse recovery, in-home crisis intervention and home monitoring. Our residential programs offer a safe, healing environment for the most severely abused and neglected. We also offer independent living for those aging out of state custody and would otherwise be homeless.
Our new location provides the facilities to build upon our established programs while expanding into new areas of service not possible before. As phase one construction continues, we still need your help to complete the vision.
The nature of how we serve children has changed dramatically. We want to invest in programs that will remain viable and relevant for the future; develop programs that will directly impact the greatest number of Kentucky families and communities and maintain good stewardship of all resources entrusted to us. These principles helped guide us in our decision to purchase the 35 acre property and build the Nicholasville Campus.
The new campus features state-of-the-art residential facilities and opportunities to collaborate with one the best alternative education systems in the state.
